At this event, Jonathan Rifkin, Sustainable Purchasing Program Manager, Office of Contracting and Procurement, will provide the CBE community with an overview of the District’s recently launched “Sustainable Purchasing Program.” Participants will learn about sustainable purchasing laws and policies, the initial list of 14 targeted product and service categories, and how the program is being promoted and implemented across the District.

Representatives from the Department of the Environment will be on hand to answer any questions on what the agency buys. The meeting will also seek opportunities to better understand environmentally preferable offerings available through the CBE community.
