OCP Operating Status (March 16 - June 8, 2020)

Sunday, March 15, 2020

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, Mayor Muriel Bowser declared both a state of emergency and a public health emergency in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) public health pandemic. To mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Mayor Bowser has adjusted the District of Columbia Government’s operating status.

From Monday, March 16, through the end of the public health emergency, the Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) will be physically closed to prevent the potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the District of Columbia. However, OCP will continue to provide most services as usual.

  • Contracting and Procurement Services – Modified Service. We will continue to provide contracting and procurement services to our client agencies and issue new solicitations. However, these services will be delivered virtually.
  • Procurement Center of Excellence – No Changes. We will keep providing answers to all questions regarding open solicitations, doing business with the District, PASS technical support, and general information about OCP.
  • Learning and Development – Modified Service. The Procurement Training Institute (PTI) will offer most upcoming classes in a virtual classroom. There will be no option to attend these classes in person. The General Vendor Workshop is canceled.
  • Surplus Property Division (SPD) – Suspended. We will temporarily stop providing all surplus property services, to include posting items on the GovDeals online auction platform.

While residents, vendors, and District agency employees are unable to address their concerns in person, OCP may be contacted at (202) 727-0257 or [email protected].
