OCP Director reelected to board of National Association of State Procurement Officials

September 9 -- The Office of Contracting and Procurement is proud to announce that Director James D. Staton, Jr. was reelected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) at the organization's annual conference in Burlington, VT, today.

Director Staton was first elected to the board in 2013 for a one year appointment. In his role as a member of the Board of Directors, Director Staton works with state procurement officials from across the nation to guide and develop the organization's activities,  priorities and agenda.  

NASPO is a non-profit association dedicated to strengthening the procurement community through education, research, and communication. It is made up of the directors of the central purchasing offices in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the territories of the United States. NASPO is an organization through which the member purchasing officials provide leadership in professional public procurement, improve the quality of procurement, exchange information and cooperate to attain greater efficiency, economy, and customer satisfaction.
