Where does OCP advertise business opportunities for goods, services and construction?
Opportunities are advertised on the OCP website. Regulations require at least one notice in a newspaper of general circulation. Currently, business opportunities are advertised in the classified section of The Washington Times and may appear in The Washington Post, Capital Community Publications (DC North, East of the River, Hillrag), Washington Informer, Washington Hispanic, the Washington Afro-American, and the Asian Fortune. Paper copies are available at the Office of Contracting and Procurement, 441 4th Street, NW, 700S. For capital construction and related architectural and engineering projects copies are available at the Reeves Center, 2000 14th Street, NW, 3rd Floor, Washington, DC 20005.

Does OCP charge fees to provide solicitations to the public?
In some cases a fee is charged. For capital construction Invitations for Bids and Requests for Proposals the fee is determined by the number of drawings and the number of copies requested. Fees may range from approximately $25 to $100.

Does OCP transmit solicitations, specification changes and other contact documents and accept price quotations/bids/proposals by fax or email?
Yes, primarily for small purchases (typically $25,000 or less in value).

What if a vendor has a question while filling out a request for quote/bid/proposal document?
Please telephone or email the contract specialist identified on the solicitation.

How do I file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and do I have to pay a fee?
Requests may be made by telephone, e-mail, fax, or letter. The OCP FOIA officer has 10 days to respond. Documents may be viewed at OCP or copies made (certain exemptions may apply). For Freedom of Information Act requests, there is a $10 research fee plus $.25 per page copy fee.

Does the District have a local, small, minority or women-owned business program?
Yes, the Department of Small and Local Business Development is able to provide business advantages to businesses certified by that office.

Does the District have a vendor grievance procedure?
